Young and very cheeky, Jasper won over everyone he came into contact with, with his infectious personality. He always appeared to be laughing and had a permanent bright sparkle in his eyes. He was always the ring leader in any games to be had at home with fellow doggy guests and he made sure everyone came out to play in the garden with him. If any of the others returned inside, he would be quick to encourage them to come back out for some more play by standing just inside the back door and wriggling about barking then running off into the garden again.
He was however very good when it mattered so was totally trustworthy to be let off the lead on walks in the fields. He would hare around galloping one way and then another and once he was wet and muddy enough he loved to return to me and jump up placing two damp brown paws on my trousers. By the end of the walk my trousers had invariably undergone a transformation from plain denim into a fetching patterned denim made up of little muddy paw marks. It was however a look which I was sure would not catch on in the fashion stakes!
