The next time Suzan called she had more optimistic news in that she could take two dogs, but they could be of any size so that meant that if she and a friend flew to Izmir to meet Helen from 4 Paws Pet Transport they could take 4 dogs. One of the dogs Suzan was sending to the UK was now going to be staying with her until October, so that meant that all the dogs due to travel at this time could now go. First in the queue was my little Megs so she would definitely be travelling on this trip. The only snag was that the air fares had gone up a bit since I had sent the money for Meghan’s fare to Suzan back in March, but I was past caring by this stage. At least she would be on her way. Suzan booked the flights for 25th August. When Meghan reaches Turkey she now needs to spend two nights there under new animal transportation laws that have been introduced. Following that it will take 3 or 4 days to travel through Europe so she will be arriving in the UK on 30th or 31st August.
The weather in Cyprus has been even hotter than usual for the time of year and Meghan has quite a woolly coat, so I asked Suzan if she could take Meghan to the groomer for a nice clip to help her keep a bit cooler. Suzan duly took Meghan to her regular groomer and I was delighted to see my little Megs looking so smart following her hair cut. Hopefully that along with the air-conditioned travelling compartment in 4 Paws Pet Transport’s van will mean she will have a comfortable journey despite the intense heat of August.
